Destination: Strasbourg

On my most recent trip to Europe, I decided to make a quick stop in Strasbourg, France. I have heard so many great things about this city and couldn't resist seeing it with my own eyes. Although majority of the city resembles many other European towns, the Petite France quarter is like stepping foot into a Fairy tale. Every picture I took could be confused with a painting, it seems that unreal. Filled with many small shops, cafes and restaurants there is plenty to do and makes this city the perfect weekend getaway from any of the nearby cities such as Paris or neighboring German destinations. Although you can easily walk through the city by yourself, I do recommend taking the free walking tour which meets in front of the cathedral every day (rain or shine). Just a heads up, the guide does move quiet fast and if you love to take a gazillion photos like myself, you may be left behind. Also, the tour does not go through Petite France, but you can easily make that stop after the tour, everything is walking distance. You wouldn't believe how much history can be found in such a small place, and if you ever get the chance to go to France, you should definitely make this one of your stops.
