Favorite Beauty Products - Summer Edition

It's been quiet a while since I have shared some of my favorite beauty products with you all, so I have compiled a list of products I have been using religiously these past couple of months. If you decide to try some of these out for yourself I would love to hear your thoughts about them, or if there are any beauty products out there you are curious about, just leave me the name in the comments section and I would be happy to try them out.

So let's get started!

1. Josie Maran - Argan Oil
Perhaps you have noticed that argan oil products have been popping up everywhere, I personally decided to try this brand but I know there are plenty of others out there. What I love about this particular brand of argan oil is that it's 100% pure and organic, which means: no parabens, no sulfate, no synthetic fragrances or dyes, no GMOs and other chemicals. I mostly use this oil on my face after washing it, it works great as a moisturizer, but I don't recommend applying it before your make-up because it will run. This product is also great for your hair, I usually apply it to my ends when my hair its still damp. I have read that it also works wonders on your cuticles, but have not tried it myself. This triple threat can be purchased at Sephora for $16. You can also check out your local vitamin shop, they may sell argan oil at a lower price.

2. Maybelline - Age Rewind Concealer
I have shared some of my favorite under eye concealers with you in the past, but this one is probably on the lower price end and works great if you like to contour your face. I know contouring is not for everyone, and definitely not for every occasion, but that doesn't mean that you can't use this product for your everyday make-up, just apply a smaller amount. I typically get the lightest shade available, apply along the sides of my nose and draw a triangle under my eye area, let this sit for a couple of minutes and then blend in with the rest of my skin using a brush. You can find this product at most pharmacies or beauty stores for about $9.99, however you can find it at Walmart for $7.94.

3. Urban Decay - Brow Box
Regardless of how much make-up I am wearing, you will notice that my eyebrows are always filled in, it's crazy how much of a difference your eyebrows can make to your already complete look. Clean and defined eyebrows help shape your face and make you look more polished. The key is not to overdo it, we have all seen those "Eyebrow Fail" pictures, and you gotta be careful that you don't end up on one of those. The reason I use this eyebrow kit is because I don't like to use a pencil to shape and fill in my brows, I feel that using a powder makes your brows look more natural rather than penciled in. Another great thing about this kit is that it includes two shades of brow powder, if you change your hair color a lot like me this really comes in handy. Also included is a brow wax, small brush and even a small set of tweezers, that's why it is one of my favorite products to take with me while I am traveling. This product is sold at most beauty stores like Ulta and runs $29, however, I picked up mine at Nordstrom Rack for about half the price, I am not sure if all locations have it but its worth stopping by.

4. Mac - Lip Pencil in Whirl and Lipstick in Mocha
I am a huge fan of nude colored lips, but for the last couple of months I have been cheating on my nude lipstick with this Mac lip pencil and slightly lighter shade of lipstick. I have to admit that it took me a while to find this color, but after trying numerous brands and shades I ended up at my beloved MAC counter. Turns out that I am not the only one that has been trying to find this shade of "brown," in fact this look has been called the Kylie Jenner Lip Trend (LOL) and after stalking her instagram page I now see why. This color is perfect if you want to make your lips look fuller or if you need a change from it's cousin the nude lip. Like most MAC lip pencils and lipsticks its very long lasting and I can't seem to brag about it enough. Both products cost $16 each.

5. Clarisonic -Mia 2
I am pretty sure that you all have either seen or heard about the Clarisonic Facial Cleansing System, therefore I won't go into details about how it works. After finally purchasing the Mia 2 a couple of months ago I started using it before going to bed at night. I really loved how clean and soft my skin felt after using the system and even got my boyfriend to try it (he secretly loves it more than I do). Mia 2 comes with a travel case, 2 difference speed settings and a small cleansing gel. I have started using my own facewash and it works just as well. If you don't care about the travel case then you can purchase the Mia 1, I don't think the 2 speed settings are vastly difference from each other. Mia 2 is $149 and Mia 1 is $99 from the Clarisonic website.

6. Marc Anthony - Dream Waves Beach Spray
I have recently chopped of half of my hair to a long bob, which has been a huge change for me when it comes to styling my hair. For the most part I rock very messy beach waves, if you have short hair and are in a hurry this is a great alternative to curling or straightening your hair which takes much longer. The key to achieving beach waves when you are not actually at the beach is letting your hair air dry. I usually wash my hair, dry it off with a towel and then apply this Beach Spray and that's pretty much it. You can also apply the spray if your hair is dry but I have noticed that the effect is better when applied to damp hair. This product can be purchased at any pharmacy for about $7.

I hope you have enjoyed this beauty product post as much as I enjoyed sharing it with you. Don't forget to subscribe to The Traveling Stilettos for more fashion, beauty and travel tips.
