Choose To Shine - Sunflower Fields in Georgia

I read a quote that said "there is nothing on this planet that more trumpets life than the sunflower." I would have to completely agree. Sunflowers follow the sun's journey across the sky throughout the day, no matter how bright or weak the sun may be, the sunflower always finds it's rays. Turns out we could learn a thing or two from the sunflower, no matter how weak or strong the sunshine in your own life may be, always find that tiny ray of light between the cloudy sky.

Since I was a child I have been drawn to the beauty of the sunflower, I always tell my boyfriend, "ditch the roses get me sunflowers," roses may be elegant, but it's simply impossible to look at a sunflower and not feel happy, at least that's the case for me. This past weekend the sunflower fields in Georgia finally went into bloom, and since my parents were in town this was an early birthday present for me, so this weeks post was shot at this gorgeous field in Cumming, Georgia. I have been wanting to visit one of these since I can remember, but never had a chance. Now that I live in Atlanta, I am 30 minutes away from the Anderson's Sunflower Fields. If you live in the area and want to pick up some sunflowers, or perhaps take stunning photos in the fields, this is the place for you. You can get a dozen sunflowers for $12 or half a dozen for $8. There is a fee of $10 to take photos, and $35 for professional photographers. The Anderson's were very friendly and pleasant, they even watched my dog while we were taking pictures. :) I also picked out a sunflower bouquet which looks amazing in my living room.

As always, thank you for visiting my page, sharing and commenting. ❤️M
